i swear my mother gets high on knowing how right she is about how wrong i am.
go and sign the above petition^
really, how can we all go on living on the deaths of so many other lives that share the one planet that we can all survive on?
anyways, i sent my laptop to the repairs yesterday because there's something wrong with the wireless connection. and get that pixel-wide vertical line in my screen fixed at the same time too.
so my web-using time is sort of restricted in the afternoons after my mother's done using the family computer and before my father gets home to hog the computer desk with his two laptops.
although, i'm secretly glad for the mishap of my laptop because it forces me off the online world and sort of pushes me to write more frequently for Aki Kitsune and perhaps i can get to finish the two novels i bought last holiday.
all right, i'd better go back to check on geocities to edit and post the next AK chapter soon.
oh, don't mind me.
it's just the late-teen angst and pre-adulthood insatisfaction talking.
and maybe its the inner post-middle age me reassuring myself that perhaps death will one day come earlier.
for those asswipes with a skewed view of parenting, or for me, it doesn't matter. so long as all these ends sooner than later.
whew.
that felt good.
anyways, i wanted to list out the people who smsed me to wish me happy birthday but i can't remember, for the life of me, all those who had.
so i'm just gonna say a big collective
ARIGATO GOZAIMASU
to all friends who remembered my day and made it extra-special.
oh, and i absolutely adore the card my secondary school friends did for me. especially bh's message at the back of it.
and wy for indulging my fantasy by rolling out the virtual red carpets and made me the so-called "goddess of everything" for the day.

the fanfiction i've mentioned?
it's a birthday fic for all having their birthdays today, especially minekura-sensei!
here is a list of sites i've post the Wild Adapter fanfic.
- my website
- FanFiction.Net
- LiveJournal (if you can't see it in the main page, it's in the memories. click on userinfo on the right to get there)
by the way, thanks for all the birthday smses!
it's the first time i've woken up to 5 smses and my barely awaken mind didn't register the reason for multiple smses until 3 seconds after.
and phoenix, let's hope my plot bunnies felt your blessing and will start prancing about in a mad frenzy once more.

ky, sl, georgie, gina, bh, xq..
yup, that's it.
it was nice catching up with everyone, especially gina and xq.
ky wasn't even planning to come, but i convinced her after she came over my house out of boredom and watching a few episodes of Heroes.
samantha and jt couldn't make it- damn it!- but, because of my infinite magnanimity, i shall forgive you hahaha~
The Scream, human version, courtesy of bh's extraordinary photography skills.
i swear we were the loudest group in the quiet little cafe that we've moved to after dinner at Breaks.
and then, out of nowhere, this came.
*blur look*
"i don't remember seeing a candle on the picture of the brownie in the menu!"
apparently, xq "went to ask for the waiter's telephone number" and ask for a candle as a second thought.
LOL.
georgina was busy taking pictures of the brownie while the candle began to spew sparks and i was all horrified, "can i blow it out now?! can i PLEASE blow it out now?!?!?!?!!"
it just so happens that it's a relightable candle and i was all o.0?! when the flame came back to life for the first time.
i was SO tempted to just pluck out the candle and dunk it in the water after multiple failed tries to extinguish the flame.
although, it was finally put out by ky *phew!*
doesn't it look nice? say "YES!"
*holds pointy object at your pulse point*
those aren't carrots at the side of the plate, by the way.
they're strawberries.
i'm totally against the idea of putting photographs of people's faces on my blog, including my own, but i figured "yeah, whateverrr."
plus, i like the way georgina took it and you can't really see how i looked like, in that angle anyway, so.. yeah. here it is:
anyways, i'm currently expanding my own worldwide domination through the propagating of my fictions and am now attempting to come out a victor from the mad wrestle with LiveJournal.
not much of a progress now, sad to say, and i can't quite customise the layout like i could with Blogger.
*sigh*
by the way, sakura trees are predicted to blossom on my birthday tomorrow!
see, these are one of the small things that i love about the day 23rd march, which is-ahem- my birthday.
*grins*

oh, and pauline dearest? you gave me a little scare about daniel radcliffe's erm.. bared picture in Equus.
i mean, it's one thing to read yaoi/slash fanfictions of HarryDraco, an assortment of yaoi mangas and doujinshis, and another, to actually look at a real life person wearing only his birthday suit when the last memory you have of him was in thick wizard robes and that you still have that image in your mind of him years ago, an ickle pre-puberty voice-not-yet-broken adorable little boy.
and now the newer, more matured image had somehow burnt itself into my brain although all i did was a split second scan with my eyes of the fully unclothed picture of him and the beautiful white horse (which i'm sure most fangirls ignore in favour of radcliffe's bod).
erm.. what can i say?
eh.. he looks fit (=.=?) sort of?
he is sort of- pardon me- hairy (Harry Potter, hairy. get it? ok, not funny.. please ignore my humour).
and i have certain comments pertaining to an anatomy that i won't even dare to put here. although i've shared one of it with pauline after dreading for fifteen minutes before finally looking at the picture in question.
*shudders*
i don't think i can watch any harry potter movie the same anymore.
at least until the fifth movie comes out and the Equus image has eradicated itself from my mind. i know i'll get over the shock soon enough.
sometimes i have no one to blame but my own curiousity.
kyaaa~~~!!!
anyways, it was hard, doing a fanfiction on minekura-sensei's story.
her characterisation and storytelling style is so so so difficult to replicate and predict what the characters would do or say in certain situations.
i need a beta for this fic though and i'm not sure if phoenix wouldn't be freaked out by the yaoiness of it.

Aki Kitsune chapter TEN!!
it can be read from FictionPress.Com, of course.
i've also updated the list of explanations on my website for japanese terminologies used in the story.
anyways, i've managed to watch until the nineth episode of Heroes and out of curiousity, went to check it out at wikipedia.
accidentally skimmed over some spoilers (damn!) during the process though..
*ahem* the point is, i read through some of the actor information and- get this- the guy who plays nakamura hiro (i insist that japanese names must be read last name first given name last), Oka Masi, has an IQ of 180.
ONE FREAKING HUNDRED AND EIGHTY!!!
he has a bachelor of science degree in computer science and mathematics, is fluent in german, other than japanese (duh) and english.
what the- GERMAN?!
apparently he can speak spanish too.
final conclusion?
actors in america are way too smart.
it's very interesting, by the way, to look through actors' information.
their levels of education are more often than not, very shocking.

Heroes is on tonight!
but i'm trying to watch it online so that i can catch up on the pace that it's showing in america.
which reminds me, perhaps i can watch season 3 of CSI:NY online too..
hmm.. carmine giovinazzo..
and have i mentioned the live drama for Hanakimi?
one of the many ways to piss me off is to change a story so much when adapting it from the original manga that it's almost not canon on screen.
the characters are OOC* most of the time (especially Taiki, the guy who can see spirits. such a let down), and the sub-plots jump all over the place while ending the whole series roughly somewhere after the photographer guy who's obssessed with Umeda appeared.
plus, the whole 'Sano and Mizuki finally getting together' part is WAY off from the original manga version.
such a let down.
anyway, i thought i'd be able to get some rest for my mind so it'd wouldn't scrunch up when people ask me what i want for my birthday (come on, you know you want to ask me that *hint hint*).
ONE.
new sling bag. saw one at converse last month. don't know if it's still there or if there're nicer designs elsewhere.
TWO.
new pair of sandals. it can only take so long for a pair of BATA's product to fall apart. literally.
THREE.
Caran d'Ache Classic Fribralo. or, water-soluble fibre-tipped pens, in english. it's about time i start picking up colouring again.
time to start editing chapter ten if i want to get it uploaded tomorrow.

WRITERS' BLOCK.
*grabs head and yells anguished blabber*
i am stuck halfway through chapter fifteen of Aki Kitsune, erm.. more like 700 words short of the chapter length that i've set for myself.
not to mention that i'm starting to edit the next chapter to be uploaded in a few days' time.
oh no!!
my buffer chapters are getting lesser and lesser!!!
*runs around in helpless frenzy*
*bangs into wall*
*faints*

believe you me, literature is not my thing. hence me choosing geography over literature years ago in sceondary school.
sure, i like the occasional novels, long fictions, not to mention i'm in the middle of writing a story myself but literature, is a whole different world.
and i'm not even beginning on shakespearian language.
although I, Lucifer had a more straightforward language than those with frequently interjected thous, thys, and strange sentence structures that convinced me of all the stress people in the olden days must have endured just to have a decent conversation with others, the vocabulary is like WHOA and the descriptions are like HOLY- ahem- you get the point.
half the time reading i was checking my dictionary for meanings to different words or just jotting them down, or to note the phrases and sentences that clutch at my inner muse.
kind of funny actually, as if i was sitting in an english class all over again.
anyways, i'll going to semi-rush myself to complete more chapters for Aki Kitsune (i am only SO aware of my level of procrastination) so i won't backlog anything and what am i doing now?
PROCRASTINATING.
sometimes i just can't stand myself.

think you've got it bad enough at the business districts? johor?
try being where i was, less than half a kilometre away from the sea that separates singapore from indonesia, twenty-four storeys UP.
i could almost swear that my hdb block swayed.
thanks to some memory mechanism the physical body has (like how you would still heavy and seemingly surrounded by water even if you've stepped out of the pool an hour ago), my body is currently arguing with my mind that everything is still swaying.
every now and then i'll have to look around me to make sure that nothing else is moving other than my nerves.
anyways, i went shopping with phoenix yesterday at parkway.
correction- i went to watch phoenix shop yesterday at parkway. lol.
had a drink at the hawker centre outside when she was done (thanks for the treat ^_^) and took a walk at the beach after that.
took lots of photos (at her insistence) and had some sort of competition to see who could throw small rocks further out to the sea.
mine jumped once while hers jumped sideways (what's the deal with that? *insert seinfeld voice*)
oh, and i banked my red packet money yesterday!
this year, i had $326 plus US$10, which my mother took without changing it to Sdollars for me to bank in.
=.=
right, back to reading I, Lucifer. have to return it tomorrow.
meanwhile, i'll convince my body that there are no more tremors.
here it is, chapter 9, on my website.
the chapter is also, as usual, available on FictionPress.Com.
anyways, we had killer papers this semester.
there goes the only Z grade that i had faith in for Business Calculus.
did you hear that?
it's the sound of the elusive Z, being flushed down the potty yet again.
