i saw my junior from secondary school choir today when i went for my lesson at the lom lab.
apparently there was an open house for tp business school and there were groups of graduated secondary school kids all over the place.
and i saw phoenix too.
that girl went and told julia that some of us were going to buy something for her birthday that was coming next week.
gah!
spoilt our surprise =.=
but still, ym and i went to tampines mall to find presents for julia and janice because her birthday's in three weeks and she had invited us to her celebration/chalet.
janice's presents were easy to find, but julia's was ARGH!
throughout the whole "shopping" process, there were times when ym and i got distracted and started looking for things for ourselves instead.
i found a beige coat/jacket thing that i immediately fell in love with, and a three-quarter sleeved dark brown tee too, both from bossini.
shall see if the parkway outlet has them.
ym kept insisting that the tee at BUM was nicer though.
there was one chain bracelet that i saw at mini.bits that i couldn't take my eyes off of.
it was the exact thickness i was looking for!
christmas present, anyone?
right, back to julia's present.
damn, it was so difficult to find a * that fit her style and "feel".
and when we thought we found one, it wasn't in the * that we were looking for!
ym and i thought that we could reserve the one that was available at parkway's outlet but the last piece was sold!
GAH!
so we went to another shop and we finally found one that fit what we were searching for and it's actually available!
the only thing was that we're not very sure if it's the right *.

you'd better be grateful for what we've done for you even though we don't have the money to get you a PSP or a digital camera!

communication skills. seriously, this is the worst polytechnic core subject EVER.
especially when you had to type out a 3 page report comparing two job interview sessions out of the few a selected group of my classmates had with our tutor.
my mind blanked out after i created a comparison table and i had no idea how to start the blasted report.
this of course led to my inevitable procrastination from friday night to this afternoon.
i gave up on waiting for report inspiration to come to me last night to i ended up reading fanfictions again.
all the way to 2.30am, if i'm not wrong.
happily i though i could sleep to 9 or 10, before waking up to leave for changi village and pulau ubin because my parents wanted to walk around with my grandmother since she visits us during weekends.
lo and behold! i got dragged out of my comfy bed at friggin 8am.
8AM! can you believe that?!
i had little next to 5 hours of sleep for the past 3 days and i had to wake up at 8am?!
needless to say, i was quite pissed most of the time although i don't have much of a morning temper.
plus, there was nothing at pulau ubin worthy to be seen!
there were just some desolated fisheries, an empty volunteer centre, lots of trees and wild flowers (that i don't mind, had a good time snapping pictures with my 1 month old new handphone) and HORDES of cyclist who came from the main singapore island who decided that an almost abandoned island, save for some kopitiam-styled restaurants and loads of bicycle shops, is a better place to cycle as compared to the lovely east coast park filled with life, a beautiful sea view and shops that are actually open!
that's an incredibly long sentence. whew.
so we all came home after 5 hours of walking around in the sun and i fell into a sort-of sleep for and hour or so until i got woken up by kotani kinya's BLAZE.
and i was wondering why did the song sounded so familiar.
it was the opening theme song for the anime tsubasa reservoir.
there was definitely something very wrong with that anime.
the seiyuu for syaoran sounded a little too gay-ish and not teen-boyish enough for me, and since when did mokona grew that big?!
i thought that white fluffiness was big enough to be held in one hand but no..
it was as big as an adolescent KOALA.
and don't get me started on mokona's seiyuu.
in my mind, i had always imagined mokona to hav this kiddish-girlish-pikachu-ish voice.
oh, it's kiddish all right.
a proper kid's talking voice.
not uber-cutish for that ball of fluff that i so expected it to be.
such a let down.
i got quite disappointed in the seiyuu arrangement, which had fully woke me up.
and there are still ignorant people who say that ANIMES come BEFORE MANGAS.
am i the only ass who has a high expectation for animes to follow the canon plots and everything else in their mangas faithfully?!
anyways, i'm gonna head back to that darn report.
no point wasting my time ranting about stuff that those #$%^&* anime people will not be changing in a very long time to come.

i've been working on a personal project for the past few days.
i'm like, this close, to pulling out my hair while my brain is just one step away from blowing up by itself just by sitting in front of my laptop for hours on end trying to get everything right.
let's just say that this project isn't an area that i'm familar with but now i'm more than half through with it.
ah.. so proud of myself.

watched a documentary on national geographic about martial arts earlier today.
it's like, so damn cool.
they did actual scientific experiments of the mechanics of the different muscles in work, the actual theory behind legendary, impossible or mythical techniques with the actual masters of the different arts.
there was even this 69-years-old direct disciple of bruce lee who still had (get this) black hair.
haha..
and then there was the second part about martial arts weapons.
i absolutely LOVE the part about katanas, japanese sword.
it can still look so graceful yet powerful and like a piece of art despite it's original purpose, which is to kill.
ah~ destructive beauty. there's this inexplicable attraction about it.
i guess i'm still stuck on rurouni kenshin after all these years.
is it legal to have a decorative katana in singapore?

i did a major tidying of my room.

then i did my calculus tutorial, and wrote a ficlet which dear phoenix is beta-ing for me now.
