And my narcissistic self.
One more day of SIP down!
Sly ol' me managed to skive off proper work today.
And why would I do that? Well, if I didn't, the work that I'll be doing wouldn't be related to logistics at all.
So why waste time learning things I'm not supposed to?
Anyway, how exactly did i skive off? Herein lies my skill at avoiding tasks.
It's simple, really. Just casually mention that I'm helping the boss with a project (which the rest of the staff don't have to know that it's something that the school already suggested/wanted us to do) and they'll let us off with everything because the boss's words are like, absolute.
Woohoo~
Which is why I've ended up creating the materials tracking "system" thingy on Microsoft Excel for almost the whole day.
Copy-pasting cells/Excel worksheets are the absolute cure for insomnia, by the way. If there's any extensive typing, at least I'd get to use my brains. Copy-pasting is something even trained monkeys can do, thus explains my less than lucid state in front of a computer screen.
Rare, that is; me near slumbering before a computer.
Still, I'm satisfied with what I came up with. Perhaps it won't be as centralised as Microsoft Access (which I suck horribly at) but it'll work, seeing that the other staff there should know enough about Excel to maintain it.
Earlier in the morning (pardon my jumps in chronological order. Tired. Brain not functioning), I helped Jessie with the presentation that we did yesterday.
Apparently, the music we had inserted wasn't able to play on the burnt-into-CD copy and some parts were supposed to be edited out of the slides that we weren't told of yesterday.
Thus, I proceeded to edited it while Jessie printed out labels for floor board samples. Twenty-one in all, if i'm not wrong.
Both the samples and the presentation slides had to be done in time for the boss's brother's presentation 20mins away. Hence mad cutting and pasting of double-sided tapes.
Is it just me, or is SIP becoming more and more boring?
It's only just the sixth day and Jessie and I are already getting more and more weary with each passing day.
I wonder how I will survive two months more of this.
