And my narcissistic self.
Mother dearest, we won't see a total solar eclipse because by the time the Sun starts to pass over Singapore, it wouldn't be in perfect alignment with the Moon, which in turn will not be able to fully block out the Sun.
Being in almost direct hit of the Sun, thanks to our being 1° North of the Equator, does not make it more difficult for us to witness a total solar eclipse.
In fact, your explanation is entirely UNRELATED.
I cannot even begin to lament the lack of your logic.
Isn't it just strangely wonderful how the many phenomenons witnessed on Earth are brought about by mere coincidences? One such as the Sun being 400 times further from us than the Moon, but is at the same time 400 times wider in diameter? Their apparent identical sizes to us is what makes total solar eclipses possible.
Coincidences are such awesome things.
