And my narcissistic self.
to a certain degree (doesn't it remind you that years ago all our humanities teacher told us over and over again to not use "certain" when describing our degree of agreeness?), i would agree with fabian that 2006 hasn't been very kind to us dragons.
then again, it's impossible to have a 100% happiness in anything at all these days, damn the ass who came up with this rule.
thus one weighs everything on a scale and see if the bad is heavier than the good.
oops, my bad. i meant, if the good is heavier than the bad. i just can't control my inner angst at times, bad me.
yup, and considering my sucky judgement in relationships, inability to say "no" when asked to accept incompetent project group members, and finally, my non-existent bond with my immediate family members..
hmm.. that's all? and here i was, thinking that i had more contributing factors to having "a bad year for dragons".
hah, so there, fabian.
at least i had a relatively good year.
not to mention that my writing inspiration had returned somewhat, and my html programming skills have improved (with some cheating here and there of course, there's a reason i'm not studying in the IT faculty).
plus, i've gotten back to drawing and character designing, even though i've deproved an iota.
oh, and i've finally got a new handphone.
see, my good happenings do outweigh the bad.
but please, no more war, no more sufferings, and can everyone do a little part for our thinning ozone layer by recycling whatever and
BLOODY STOP SMOKING!
doesn't anyone realise that when everybody does any small thing for the environment, the less it retaliates to remind us that with one small quake, a single wave, the earth is capable of crushing us all, like squashing an ant with one's fingertip, before we destroy this planet that some of us are shamelessly poaching on?
perhaps one day when Earth is sick of us taking advantage of her, she will erase everything in a fury of an apocalypse and replace us humans with a better breed of living things to take care of all the organisms that had managed to escape our massacre.
though, i have full confidence that 2007 will be good to me, regardless of whatever rubbish that horoscope books may predict for my zodiac and star sign.
nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new beginning.

this time, i will make this moment mine.
on an less angsty note, taiwan president's son-in-law, Chao Chien-ming, is going to be jailed for six years.
i say, good for him, although he deserves a much longer jail term.
quote from Channelnewsasia.com,
"Chao's father Chao Yu-chu drew a five-and-a-half year prison term in the same case and was given a further three years in jail for embezzling 11 million dollars in political donations to the president."
logically, if he had been embezzling money to the president, shouldn't said president be put on trial for accepting the cash?
then again, there is one most senseless law in taiwan that immunes the president of the current term from any investigation and trials.
dumb, no?
-.-
yeah, whatever.
anyways, i know that everyone who knows me knows that i hate pink and i know that this new blogskin is totally pink.
i tried to darken the background, add a few blood splatter using brushes from photoshop to make it more "dark-ish" (more "me") but i can't get the effect i want. plus the darker it gets, the more brown it is and it simply does not look good with whited-out japanese maple on the left.
for now, the only pink i like will be my blogskin-pink.
lol..
last night i saw the new REIRA video for NANA2.
yes, i'm well aware that the video was out long before and that the movie had already been shown ages ago.
it's not my fault that MTV chinese isn't doing a good job of showing new japanese videos.
back to the topic, the song was nice; very good lyrics, but what irked me was what most NANA fans hated too.
the @#$%^&* changing in cast.
First, Aoi was withdrawn because of the increase in "passionate" scenes that Hachiko will have as the story progresses, then the character of Ren was replaced by some other guy who i have yet to remember the name.
although i had initially thought that the first Ren didn't quite look the same as the original manga character, but compared to the new one.. ugh. no comments. the first was definitely better.
and of course, shinichi's role had to be replaced because the original actor, who incidentally acted as L in Deathnote, looks nothing like shinichi.
shinichi's replacement had acted as Ryoma in the live movie of Prince of Tennis, by the way.
oh, and i saw a picture of him in the shinichi getup. piercings, outrageously dyed and extremely spiked hair.. the whole works.
that is the only cast replacement that i'm satisfied with, since shinichi was one of my favourites in the manga.
as of now, i'm trying to download through bittorrent the 6th episode of hanazakari no kimitachi e (long name, no?), otherwise known as hanakimi, which is now being shown in taiwan as a live drama.
and it seems as if my uploading speed is faster than my downloading speed and i've uploaded to other peers more than they have to me!
what rubbish.
*runs around in circles*
oh, and fabian came over this afternoon.
we did more than FOUR hours of calculus, by the way.
hmm.. more like he did that four hours of calculus while i watched and made sure he did everything right.
sometimes i can be so kind, i amaze myself.
FanFiction.Net,
Battle Royale videos on Youtube,
and that's a lot already because there are just hundreds of fanfictions that i'm missing out from one site alone.
damn that stahub SafeSurf.
and it won't be lifted until the last day of NEXT YEAR.
utter rubbish, i says.
at least i can still login to FictionPress.
if not, i'll have no idea how i can post my stories, which, chapter two of Aki Kitsune is already up.
woohoo~

went bedok jetty with my family this morning at like, 7am?
had to wake up at 5.30am to reach there on time and get a good place.
the catch itself wasn't as good as the previous times but i did catch some sun. hopefully i won't keep looking so fair compared to my other friends.
oh, and we caught two small puffer fish. damn cute, those critters. too bad we don't have the skill to cook it, haha..
nah, couldn't bear to eat them.
there was a stingray sighting. it had to be at least 50cm wide.
we all said that the stingray need to see a psychiatrist because it believes it is a dolphin.
why?
it had leapt out of the water surface.
well, it isn't something one would see everyday.
*shrugs*
played a bit more of my FFIV Advance, but couldn't get on with the story because i can't get pass a boss and her two monsters so i'm stuck at leveling my party.
i absolutely cannot stand uploading stories onto FictionPress.Com.
there are so many things that doesn't show as it would when one types normally. I had to use ISO character sets to code certain things in.
so totally troublesome.
and i accidentally deleted what i finally finished uploading.
yay, me. felt just SO smart at that moment.
nevertheless, the first chapter of Aki Kitsune is finally up on that site and if anyone reviews, i'll put up the second.

minekura kazuya-sensei's drawings are getting a little different.
the above sentiment was what crossed my mind as i read the latest Wild Adapter manga that i bought on thursday.
somehow the faces looked just a bit relatively rounder than her patent anorexic-ish beautiful young men.
but still, her art leaves no spaces for nitpicking.
i think i'll have to sleep soon.
need to wakeup early again tomorrow to accompany my grandmother to the market.
*yawn*
today felt fulfilling ^_^

anyways, i gotta make good use of my two weeks break.
let's see.. *begins to count off*
two novels to read.. a handful of gameboy advance and playstation games to complete.. my story to write and maybe upload on fictionpress.com when i feel like it.. plus my website to maintain!
now my break is going to be fully utilised!
this time, i'm going to attempt to sleep at a more normal bedtime and wake up in the morning instead of rousing at one hour before noon.
speaking of my website, i'm shutting the current one for about a week while i make sure all my data has been moved to the new site.
everything will be done by christmas eve so whoever still comes to my site can come back on christmas day at the stroke of midnight, haha..
lots of stuff to do, so i'd better get to it now.
*woohoo!!*

speaking of it, there's going to be a first Final Fantasy game on PS3 platform next year, Final Fantasy XIII, and it's going to have a female protagonist.
heard that battles or combats are going to be in real-time. erm.. does that means that there won't be turn-play?
it sounds sort of intimidating.
i mean, with turn-play, you could leave the game on it's own for hours and the monsters won't attack you until you've decided on the moves of your turn.
oh well, one can always wait for what the reviewers say.
i've also been on Wikipedia, reading through the different paradoxes.
it's kind of interesting and intriguing, especially the ones on time-travel.
don't bother trying to understand the different equations that almost every paradox has.
all the functions and stuff look entirely too alien to comprehend.

and there's one about Opposite Day, which i guess could be counted as an introduction to the Liar Paradox.
someone even made a comedy video about Opposite Day.
all right, back to calculus tutorial homework.
found this while reading a harry potter fanfiction and i quite agree with it.
it's not the feeling of security that makes you feel relieved, but the knowledge that there will be security that does.
